How I cook:
Sweet and Sour glaze for Pork Ribs
Get a small bowl. Pour in some brown sugar. And then fill bowl about halfway with Cranberry Juice Cocktail. Add about ten shakes of soy sauce, because it never comes out fast enough.
Stir and taste.
Pour in lots of honey.
Stir and taste.
Hmm. The sauce needs something else, but what? Sniff a couple of herbs in the spice cabinet. Consider garlic. Nah. Go to the other spice cabinet. Chili powder? Nah. Spinach/herb combo? No... Ah.
Add one shake of cinnamon.
Stir and taste.
Magnificent!
(Actual approximate recipe: 1/2 c. brown sugar, 1 c. Cranberry Juice cocktail or similar equivalent, 2 tbsp. soy sauce (or to taste), 1/4 c. honey, 1/4 tsp. cinnamon.)
