So my experiment was to find out how much thread I could fit on my smallest spindle. (Can I call it yarn if it's as thin as thread? Anyway...) So I spun a bunch of silk on my teeny crochet hook spindle, so it was much fuller than in the picture below. In fact, the bead was almost 1/4th covered.

I plied it with a purple wool that I spun on another spindle and ended up with 72 yards of silk/wool. I will upload pictures tomorrow probably. It's very thin two-ply, but lovely soft stuff.
