I'm kind of glad it's out of my price range, though; I would be hard-pressed not to buy it.

But I love labradorite. Love, love, love.

In other news, we went to see Coraline this afternoon (we decided on an earlier showing.) We practically had the theater to ourselves, too. There were maybe six other people there.

The movie was very good! I guess perhaps I hadn't read Coraline, because I didn't remember the story; I know I don't own it, but I thought I had read it. But it was very well done, the story was great, and I wouldn't mind having a Coraline doll*. :) We did see it in 3-D, which was neat; I don't think I've seen any other movies in 3-D. I'm not sure I would want the 3-D version to watch at home, though. The glasses were a bit uncomfortable to wear over my glasses.

I will say, though, that the next time I make a doll with button eyes, it will look very weird to me.

It was really well done. We also saw the preview for Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, which looks like it will be just as good as the others, and... Monsters vs. Aliens, which looks like it might be cute. I think that was it, actually.

*IF it looked like the doll in the movie. I know there are dolls available, and also supposedly one of Coraline's doll, but it doesn't look right to me**. Would it be copyright infringement if I made one just for myself, I wonder? Hmmm.

**For one, it's not cloth. Would it have been that difficult to make one with a soft-sculptured face?

Ooh, that pendant is very pretty.

I'm glad to hear Coraline was good--sounds like I should go soon if I want to see it, though.

Maybe I'll get her to make me one for my birthday or some other important occasion. :)

Reports varied elsewhere; some theaters were packed, and it did rise to #3 over the weekend. So maybe it was just the time of day/theater we went to. Who knows? But yes, go see it!

Neil has said that he doesn't mind if people make dolls for themselves, as long as they don't sell them.
