I've used shampoo bars from Chagrin Valley Soap and Craft exclusively since 2007. I realized when I went to order more today that my last order was April of 2009! Wow!
Now, granted, I've been running low for a little while and just now opened the last bar. And I've supplemented with two shampoo bars from another maker. But even so! They do last for a long, long time.
I also think it helps that there's only one person taking showers; they aren't staying damp for as long as they were before when more than one person regularly used the shower/bathtub.
My last order of toothpaste from Amazon lasted almost a year--I ordered it last in November 2009. I love not having to buy this sort of stuff very often!
