So this morning I woke up and left my phone upstairs on my bedside table. I sat down at my computer and started writing, only to have Dad arrive three hours later, worried because they were at an auction up town and hadn't been able to get in touch with me.

So I went to the auction with them, whereupon I purchased a vintage made in Japan tea set with flowers (with cups, not teacups!), a couple of things for Burlington, a scythe (a big one) (that was $3), and an oak glass-fronted bookcase with three sections that weighs a ton and wouldn't fit into my Dad's van. (Thanks to one of the auctioneers who allowed us to borrow his full-size van to take it up to where it will be stored until I make room in the library for it.) This will complete my wall 'o books. And it will look nice too. Each section has moveable shelves, which is also very nice! And since it's glass-fronted, I can put glassware in it too.

I will have to take a picture of the tea set. It's cute. I can't seem to find a picture of one on ebay, but I know I've seen it before somewhere.

So anyway, I'm just about to leave to pack up for Burlington, and then I'll be back home and very tired. I have a lot to do before tomorrow morning. At least we're not leaving as early this time! And I'm only bringing one spinning wheel to sell, because the others aren't ready to go yet.
