My Crock Pot Chili recipe (so I don't forget it)

2 lbs. ground beef, browned and drained
2 cans kidney beans
1 or 2 cans diced tomatoes
1/2 jar (or whole jar) spaghetti sauce or 1 can tomato paste
1/4 cup honey
1 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup molasses
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 cup diced green pepper
2 tsp. chili powder (or more, to taste)
A sprinkling of crushed red peppers

Optional ingredients:

Leftover baked beans
other seasonings and sweeteners to taste
A dash of garlic powder

Directions: Brown ground beef, drain. Combine all ingredients in crock pot (or in pot on stove), season to taste, depending on how you like your chili. Cook in crock pot for 4-6 hours or on stove for 30 minutes. Makes approximately six servings. Tastes great with cornbread.

We didn't have any tomato paste, and I wasn't about to go to the grocery for only one thing. So I used up a half a jar of spaghetti sauce, and it tastes great! Imagine the possibilities... you could use any flavor of spaghetti sauce. We shall see how the family likes my chili. :)
