Oh, I forgot to mention what I got today!
There's a dumpster outside of my office, where the people who have storage compartments behind my office frequently throw away perfectly good stuff. Today, someone tossed a bunch of sign stakes like these from a political campaign--they tossed their signs, too, but the signs were too far down to reach. :(
But the stakes weren't! I liberated at least three dozen of them from the dumpster. They are almost three feet tall, which means they will work very well for trellises for smaller vining plants like peas and cucumbers! Among other things, I'm sure. This is too cool, because I've been wondering how I will manage the smaller vining things this year; well now I know.
