I ordered a Wealthy apple, a NorthStar Cherry, and three blueberries--and they arrived today! The cherry and apple are in the ground, the blueberries are next. All out front--the apple on the end of the "apple row", the cherry a little ways down the hill (I'm hoping that will work OK) and the blueberries are going in front of the forsythia.

And I'm contemplating the raised bed for the potatoes--not in the garden as I'd planned, but... on the hill. Why not? Depending on how big I make it, it would eliminate most of the hill... and if I make it sturdy enough (I'm using twigs and branches) then it could double as a cold frame for overwinter plantings! And less of the hill to mow. Sounds like a plan to me...
