Note to self: the knife works great.
I twisted my wrist while wrestling sod, and quit for a while to weed part of one existing flower bed. The knife works great there too.
There's a stump in the middle of this flower bed, and wild strawberries have started to grow around it. Obviously I'm leaving them in place, because they look quite nice. There are flags and what I think are daylilies in this bed as well. And wild violets, of course, which I am leaving where they are too.
I am wondering if the knife would work for the sod too. I might just try it. Who knows--I might get these flowerbeds combined before winter after all, if it works... :)
