Unfortunately, after only less than a week with us, Rue died this morning.
I'm not sure why or how he died, but rest assured, I've thoroughly washed everything I know he touched, and the other kittens are not showing any signs of distress. It could have been that he was just too underweight and/or anemic from the fleas to thrive.
I will, of course, keep a close eye on the kittens and also call the vet in the morning.
It has not been a good day. :(
