Tonight's picks: one cucumber, one zucchini, one yellow crookneck squash, two potatoes, a bowl full of beet leaves and swiss chard (I ate the potatoes, zucchini, beet leaves, and swiss chard for supper.) It's when I end up with four or so zucchini and yellow squash per day that they get ahead of me. When I can eat one for supper each night, they are manageable.

I forgot to mention that I learned the tune to When the Saints Go Marching In last night on my fiddle. It was really simple. Simple is good!

And it's got to be 65 degrees outside--or colder--right now. I am drinking hot tea! On the first of July!!

I am getting my hair cut on Friday. I'm getting it cut short. Much shorter than last year.
