If I ever have children, and my child tells me that the only thing they want to be in life is a writer, I'm damned well going to support them. If they say they want to be a singer, the same thing goes. An artist? Sure, why not. An accountant? Go for it.
It's "Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness", isn't it? Well, happiness does not come from doing something you'd rather not do at all.
And that's all I'm going to say for the moment. I have writing to do.
