Well, that was interesting. One of my credit cards sent me a fraud alert, and it looks like someone did have my credit card #. Luckily, they noticed a change in my 'spending pattern' (which is just a handful of things on that card, since I used it to transfer a balance originally and haven't added much else) and alerted me. I would have noticed this weekend anyway, since I intended to pay it this weekend, but it was nice of them to alert me.
Strange thing? That card has never left the house. I used it online for a recurring monthly charge (which I'm contemplating dropping anyway), and also purchased photos with it online, one magazine subscription, and some tea. That's about it, and all were on supposedly secure sites. So where did they get the number?
