One thing I love about being a writer is what's commonly known as 'the zone'. When your fingers fly across the keys and you only have to close your eyes to see the current scene. Almost like you're watching a movie and not really making it up as you go along.

It's powerful, heady stuff, and dearly needed after so long in a rut with this story. I am flying tonight. I could easily sit up for the rest of the evening and type. It's going that well.

There are stories that write themselves, stories that have to be rewritten many times before I get them right, and stories that have a few fits and starts before they sing.
