I've been crocheting for years, but I've never been able to do granny squares. In my opinion, they aren't as 'simple' as some people say they are.

So last night, I decided to sit down and learn how to do granny squares. (It was a "once and for all" thing.)

Here was my first attempt:

Second attempt, cotton yarn. Getting better, but not right yet:

Hmm, looks pretty good to me!

Okay, that's more like it!


Now maybe I can figure out how to make this scarf.
