New Year's Resolutions for my house:
1. Paint inside (which means taking down wallpaper, repairing cracks in the walls, and replastering in some places.)
2. Either fix the shed or tear it down (or tear part of it down, depending.)
3. Replace front porch roof, which has holes in it.
4. Replace cracked storm windows
5. Start replacing cracked window panes
6. Cover little grass strip on side between sidewalk and driveway with gravel for a larger driveway (We would be able to turn around and park two cars side by side.)
7. Fix storm windows that have slipped down and gotten stuck
8. Finish cleaning (of course, but it has to be on the list.)
9. Get the freezer down the basement so I have room for the piano.
10. Plant mint in side gardens
11. Replace edging along the floor and basebord (toe something; I don't remember the term Dad used.)
12. Clean out the shed and the basement
13. Get all carpet gone from the front porch!
I think that's good enough for the first year.
