Experiment #1:
Since the cats remain frightened out of their wits of Mabel, even if she's in her crate, I decided to try a little experiment. With me standing guard just in case something happened, I fed Pooh and Chloe their dinner snack about six feet away from the baby gate and in the Green Room.
I am happy to report that Mabel didn't bark once. She got an extra treat.
We'll see if that performance can be repeated tomorrow. :)
