42,356 at the moment. I think--perhaps--I may be on the last chapter, except for the wrap-up chapter! Can I finish it today*? That would be so nice!
*The bread is in the oven, the cookies are done. All I have to do to get ready for the Christmas tonight is wrap a present, finish arranging the cookies in my bowls for them, make tea, take a shower, get dressed, etc., etc.
I could do dishes tomorrow, for that matter. Hmm. I should leave here by 2:30pm.
