I thought 46,544 was a good wordcount for the day, but then I decided I couldn't stop. So I wrote the next chapter, and the beginning of the next chapter, bringing my total for the day to 48,237. That's a record for this book, definitely.
And I am getting the feeling that it might not be much past 60k. Which is fine; it's a YA novel and shorter anyway, but we'll see. I might be wrong; now that I think about it, I'm pretty sure that I have more than 12k left to write.
So I wrote about 5k today, all told. Probably more than that. Not too shabby at all!
