66,040 at the moment, so yes, indeed, I did write almost 4k today. Somehow. And I'm not done yet!
I got off work at 4, got home before 5, sat outside to write, got cold--yes, actually cold in July, no less (the weather was glorious today) and haven't done anything but write since. Well, I watered the plants that needed watering, and I gave a bunch of water to the one poor zucchini that is looking quite poorly. And I did eat a swiss chard/tomato/grilled (swiss) cheese sandwich. I am so loving the fact that I can use the baby George Foreman grill to make what are really paninis, in truth.
Yum.
But anyway, I'll update with a final wordcount for tonight before I head to bed, but wow!
